Method for real-time setup of 3-D continous surface model using distance transducers

Abstract: A method to set up the 3 dimensional continuous surface model for real objects is presented in this paper.The distance data from different orientations of a real object is collected into the model by distance transducers.This method has the advantage of quick in processing and may be used in real time applications.By using the algorithm rules discussed in this article,the computational time will be no more than one minute in creating a 3 D pattern with continuous surface from 180?120 measured data on a SUN workstation.
