Integrated intelligent spindle design system in multi-software environment

Abstract:

The design of the numerical control machine tool spindle needs the multi-software collaborative modeling and intelligent decision-making,analysis and simulation, an intelligent spindle design(ISD) system that consists of a user-customized module, an intelligent decision-making module for the transmission configuration, an optimization design module and a design resource center was constructed. A method for the multi-software collaborative modeling, data exchanging and sharing among Solid Edge,ADAMS,ANSYS and the ISD system was proposed and realized. The implement technique for the data exchanging among the 3-D CAD modeling system, the finite element analysis system and the rigid-flexible coupling system was also discussed. The developed ISD system has been put into use, and good results achieved, which demonstrates that the proposed method can effectively support the ISD system in the multi-software environment.
