Extraction method of a segment length ratio affine geometry invariant

Abstract: Based on the concept of extended centroids, a new segment length ratio affine geometry invariant is proposed in this paper. First, with the affine geometrical characteristics of the extended centroids, it is proved that an image's extended centroids by affine region cutting and its original cnetroid are in the same straight line. Then, a lower redundancy affine area cutting strategy is proposed, and the extended images are defined. Finally, under the new cutting strategy combined with the extended images, the segment length ratio affine geometry invariants are constructed by the collinear extended centroids and the original centroid. Theoretical analysis and experiment results show that the new invariants have high stability, small accumulated error and better classification ability.
