Effect of silica fumeslag on performance of polypropylene fiber concrete

Abstract:

To enable polypropylene fiber reinforced concrete has a good performance, silica fume and slag were added to raw materials in the concrete to improve compressive strength and splitting tensile strength. By orthogonal design and theoretical analysis, the effects of different content of polypropylene fibers, silica fume, slag on properties of concrete were studied. The experimental results show that the effect of silica fume on the properties of concrete is particularly significant;incorporation of silica fume concrete can enhance the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength; the use of polypropylene fiber composites, silica fume, slag can improve the early strength of concrete; the best amount of adding poly acrylic fiber, silica fume, slag in concrete is of 0.015%, 7%, 7% respectively.
