GA-based Optimization of Transition Region for Section Forming

Abstract: Transition region design is the key technique of sheet section forming.Transition region design is an issue of optimization.In this paper,a method for transition region design based on Genetic Algorithms(GA) is proposed and the basic steps on designing transition region with GA is discussed.Experiments show that transition region designed with GA can effectually restrain defects of section forming and improve forming efficiency.
