Speech Signal Fundamental Frequency Detection Based on Wavelet Transform

Abstract: Using Mallat algorithm on the basis of wavelet transform and multiresolution analysis(MRA) in connection with traditional FFT,a new speech signal fundamental frequency detection method is presented.Experiments showed the method can restrain effect of speech signal formant on fundamental frequency without consideration of transient character of speech signal,being characterized by calculation quickness and estimation accuracy in comparison with traditional method.
