Design and implementation of cache system for vehicular central navigation system

Abstract: A cache system for vehicular central navigation system based on two-level map partitioning is designed and implemented. The cache system includes index files, data files and relevant programs. The structures of the index file and data file as well as the structure of cache for sparse matrix are designed. The cache system manages cache data by using FIFO algorithm. Experiments are carried out to verify the proposed cache system. Results show the cache system can accelerate the response of central navigation system and reduce the amount of data transmitted across the network.
