Analysis for corn threshing process based DEM

Abstract: The Discrete Element Method (DEM) analysis model of a corn thresher was established by using its CAD model. The analysis model of corn ears was also established with particle agglomerate method. The contact force in threshing process was calculated using the contact and connection mechanics model. On this basis, a new method and software were established to analyze the corn threshing process. The feasibility of the new method and software was validated.
