Abstract: Since the bistatic synthetic aperture radar(SAR)OMEGA-K imaging algorithm based on method of series reversion (MSR) 2-D spectrum has a high complexity,a modified OMEGA-K algorithm is proposed. On the basis of the conventional OMEGA-K algorithm,a high order terms cancellation processing of slant range history is applied in the range-frequency azimuth-time domain of the target signal.Using the processing, the 2-D spectrum of the target response match the MSR 2-D spectrum based on lower order taylor series expandness of slant range history well.In the simulation experiment, the focusing performance of the modified OMEGA-K imaging algorithm on the basis of second-order Taylor expansion is better than the conventional, and it is close to the conventional OMEGA-K algorithm on the basis of third-order Taylor expansion. It shows that the proposed algorithm has a good focusing performance and the complexity of the algorithm is reduced.
