Compressed sensing based multi-user collaborative detection for wideband cognitive radio networks

Abstract: In this paper, a new spectrum sensing algorithm based on compressive samples theory for wideband multi-user collaborative detection in cognitive radio networks was proposed. Using correlated channel estimation, compressive samples theory, signal reconstruction based on the basis pursuit technique and the average-consensus algorithm, the proposed algorithm realizes effective and accurate signal detection. Comparison of the performance of the algorithm with the traditional energy detection scheme through computer simulation illustrates that the proposed algorithm can achieve better performance in the low SNR and less sampling rate scenario. Meanwhile, the performance of detection is improved when the CR users increase.
