Abstract: In this paper, the influence of mineral admixtures on the rheological properties of fresh Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) mixture was studied using a new type of concrete rheometer. The results show that both yield shear stress and plastic viscosity of the SCC mixture decrease as the content of fly ash in the mixture increases. As the content of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) increases, the thixotropy behavior of the SCC mixture becomes more obvious, and the yield stress decreases first and then increases. Both the yield stress and the thixotropy behavior of SCC mixture increase with the addition of limestone powder. For all the SCC mixtures with different mineral admixtures, as the storage time increases, the thixotropy behavior of fresh concrete is gradually weakened, the yield stress increases and the plastic viscosity decreases.
