支持虚拟机跨局域网在线迁移的混合式虚拟网络原型

摘要:

针对虚拟机迁移停机时间段内数据包的丢失问题, 提出一种分布式异步缓存协议, 保证了虚拟机通信的可靠性和有序性, 使虚拟机迁移过程对应用程序完全透明. 为了解决虚拟机跨局域网通信问题, 引入overlay虚拟网络模型, 并针对虚拟网络效率较差的问题提出一种混合式的虚拟网络架构, 解决了现有虚拟机在线迁移不能跨局域网的限制. 实验结果表明, 该混合式虚拟网络原型和数据缓存协议能有效支持跨局域网环境下的虚拟机在线迁移.

Abstract:

An asynchronous distributed cache protocol was designed to solve the issue of packets loss during migration downtime so as to guarantee
 the reliability and ordering of communication between virtual machines. Besides, we designed and implemented a hybrid virtual network architecture based on the overlay virtual network model. Our virtual network model enables the live migration to be completed across LANs. Our experiments show that the hybrid virtual network model and data cache protocol can effectively solve the problem of virtual machine live migration across LANs.
