Abstract: Plate wastewater containing Cr(Ⅵ) was treated quickly with hydrogen peroxide, in which micro amounts of Fe(Ⅱ) are applied as the catalyst under acid condition. This reaction makes Cr(Ⅵ) reduced into Cr(Ⅲ), and then the Cr(OH)3 precipitate is seperated from the wastewater. Not a ny second polution matter is produced to the enviroment. 30 min later, the conte nt of Cr(Ⅵ) changed from 200 mg/L to below 0.2 mg/L. The removing rate may achieve above 99.9%.
Key words: Fe(Ⅱ) catalytic reduce, Cr(Ⅵ), plate wastewater
