Abstract

Abstract: A europium-o-phthalic acid luminescent chelate was synthesized in liquid phase. The element analyses, the chemical analysis and FTIR results show that the chelate is Eu₂L₃.6H₂O. The thermal analyses indicate that the chelate has better stability under the temperature of 472 ℃. The XRD pattern shows that the chelate is a crystal. The SEMphotograph shows that the chelate is in block shape and the grain size is 10~20 μm. The PL spectra show that the chelate emits the character fluorescence of Eu underultraviolet light.
