A combined examination of tumor marker for early diagnosis of primary hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract: The bioluminescence immunoassay technique was combined with the colo rimetric method to detect the tumor marker α-fetoprotein(AFP) and tumor specific growth factor(TSGF) of the patients sera of primary hepatocellular car cinom a(53 patients), hepatitis (80 patients) and hepatocirrhosis (34 patients). The re sults show that AFP and TSGF in primary hepatocellular carcinoma sera have signi ficance difference from those in other groups(P<0.01); the positive rate of AFP and TSGF by combined examination was 96.2%. The combined examination of A FP and TSGF can raise the diagnostic rate of primary hepatocellular carcinoma.
