Abstract: The environmental effects of eco-city planning of Qinhuangdao city were assessed by means of fuzzy pattern recognition. The contribution of each environmental subject coming from the program to the environmental impact was also analyzed. The results indicate that there is small impact of eco-city planning on the environment in Qinhuangdao city. The theory reflects the fuzziness of programming environmental impact commendably and provides base for assessing the environment of programming reasonably.
