Abstract: Dozens of water samples were taken from typical rivers in Jilin Province at different periods of time, and the chemical oxygen demand (COD) and total organic carbon (TOC) values of water samples were measured separately. A quantitative relationship model between COD and TOC of typical rivers in Jilin Province was established via linear regression of COD and TOC obtained with the least square method and the correlation test was carried out. The results indicate that there is a significant linear correlation between COD and TOC values of these river water samples.
