Abstract: An AgGaS2 optical parametric oscillator pumped by Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser operated at 1.064 μmwas investigated theoretically. Based on the principle of interaction of three waves, some dynamic parameters such as the phase-matched angle for type-Ⅰ, the angle tuning curve and the effective nonlinear coefficient, were simulated. Under the small signal approximation, the effects of allowed angle on the output wavelength and crystal length were presented, respectively. Moreover, the effect of phase mismatching coefficient on the allowed angle was also discussed. Under the phase mismatching allowed, the influence of the conversion ratio on the crystal length was demonstrated. The results concluded provide a helpful theoretical reference for optimizing design for mid-infrared tunable optical parametric oscillator.
