Abstract: An AgGaS2 optical parametric oscillator pumped by Q-switched Nd∶YAG laser operated at 1.064 μmwas investigated theoretically. Based on the principle of interaction of three waves, some dynamic parameters such as the phase-matched angle for type-Ⅰ, the angle tuning curve and the effective nonlinear coefficient, were simulated. Under the small signal approximation, the effects of allowed angle on the output wavelength and crystal length were presented, respectively. Moreover, the effect of phase mismatching coefficient on the allowed angle was also discussed. Under the phase mismatching allowed, the influence of the conversion ratio on the crystal length was demonstrated. The results concluded provide a helpful theoretical reference for optimizing design for mid-infrared tunable optical parametric oscillator.
