Abstract: The loaded resin containing chelating group was prepared with chromotrope-2R as chelating agent,D296 strongly basic anion exchange resin as carrier and the structure of the CT-2R loaded resin was proved by means of infrared (IR) spectra. The adsorption properties of loaded resin and optimum conditions for the separation and preconcentration of Au (Ⅲ) and Pd (Ⅱ) were studied. The results show that chlorocomplex anion of Au and Pd in pH=1.0 HCl solution can be adsorbed on CT2R loaded resin and separated from many other base metals. Au and Pd on the resin were eluted with 0.1 mol/L HCl40 g/L thiourea solution at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min. The resin is retreated and reused easily. The standard samples determined by atomic absorption spectrometry, the relative standard deviations (n=6) of Au and Pd are 5.72% and 7.89%, respectively.
