Abstract: The flow in a cavity with a sinusoidal wavy bottom was simulated numerically by the lattice Boltzmann method. The treatment of the lattice Boltzmann method was investigated. An accurate curved boundary treatment of secondorder accuracy was used. This treatment is a combination of the bounce back scheme with interpolation, it is relatively reliable, accurate, and easy to implement. Numerical results of the streamlines, the vorticity contours and the location of the vertical center are given to analyze the variation of the flow pattern for different Reynolds numbers.
