Video Encryption Algorithm Based on H.264 Standard

Abstract: A new chaotic video encryption algorithm presented in the paper makes full use of chaotic function to generate encryption series. According to the principle and characteristics of the video compression standardH.264, first, space replacement and numerical diffusion are conducted to the coeffi cients of block matrices after discrete cosine transform quantization, and then in order to solve the problem of encryption in video data transmission, the binary sequences after entropy coding are encrypted further. The chaotic video encryption algorithm is implemented via the H.264 reference software: JM12.4. Experimental results and analysis show this algorithm exhibits encryption effect.
