Abstract:

Based on GCMS coupled with each of three pretreatment methods solvent extraction (SE), simultaneous steam distillationextraction (SDE) and solid phase extraction (SPE), a novel approach for the determination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in honey was established. Especially, we focused on the SPE from HLB minicolumn. The effects of various solvents for wash and elution were investigated, and the conditions of the HLB SPE were optimized. The results showed that 47 kinds of VOCs could be identified with the washing by V(methanol)∶V(water)=1 followed by the elution by dichloromethane.

Key words: honey, volatile organic compounds, solid phase extraction(SPE), gas chromatographymass spectrometry(GCMS)
