Spatiotemporal Chaos in Photorefravtive Ring Oscillator Controlled by External Field Modulation

Abstract: We investigated the twodimensional spatiotemporal dynamical behavior evolution and spatiotemporal chaos of the photorefractive ring oscillator under the condition of asymmetric couple by using the uniform external field modulation to control spatiotemporal chaos of asymmetric couple photorefractive ring oscillator. The results show that the photorefractive ring oscillator can be controlled into periodic 4, periodic 2 and periodic 1 with the increase of modulation intensity through inverse bifurcation. The chaotic laser output of ring cavity laser is used as modulation signal, and the photorefractive ring oscillator can be controlled into periodic 4 and periodic 2 by adjusting the gain coefficient of the ring cavity laser.
