Abstract: The selection mechanism (linear or nonlinear) of the minimum wave speed of traveling wave solutions for three species competition system was studied by using monotone iteration method combined with upper-lower solution method. We gave the sufficient conditions for linear selection of speed and some new results for the nonlinear selection of the minimum wave speed. The results expanded the parameter ranges of linear selection.
