Abstract:
A novel ultra\|wideband antenna with diamondshaped patch was designed and fed by a coplanar waveguide. The size of the substrate is 26 mm×24 mm×0.8 mm and the substrate material uses FR4 with a relative permitivity of 4.4. The patch was optimized twice by ground plant’s first order optimization. The simulated and experimental results demonstrate that the bandwidth (VSWR≤2) starts from 2.0 GHz up to 14.5 GHz and relative bandwidth comes to 151%. This diamondshaped UWB antenna has the advantages of simple structure and miniaturization that can be applied to various UWB systems.
