Abstract: Lithium metaborate melting technology was used to make the quick analysis flow sheets of rock samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atoms Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES). Three tests were carried out to investigate the relationships between the dipping time of the fusant and one of the three following conditions in the experiments: mixing method of the fluxing agent and the sample, the chap condition of melting and the dipping condition. The data of constant element and microcontent element tested in the same solution are accurate, reliable, under suitable melting and dipping experiment conditions.

Key words: inductively coupled plasmaatoms emission spectrometry, lithium metaborate melt, rock quick analysis
