Abstract: A self-emulsifying epoxy resin film\|forming agent was prepared by using epoxy resin as hydrophobic group and polyethylene glycol as hydrophilic group under the action of boron trifluoride ethyl ether. The film-forming agent was analyzed by infrared spectrum, scanning electron microscope and laser particle size analyzer. The results show that film-forming agent contains hydrophilic hydroxyl and long chain epoxy groups. And the particle size of emulsion after self-emulsifying is 70—150 nm. The self-emulsifying film-forming agent has good stability, and its storage stability can be more than 30 d. The emulsion can remain stable after centrifugation for 3 h.
