Abstract: Using polyethylene adipate diethylene glycol diol with a molecular weight of 3 000 and isophorone diisocyanate, 1,4-butanediol, dimethylolpropionic acid as main raw materials, we first synthesized polyurethane prepolymers by acetone method, then dispersed and granulated by solution polymerization method to prepare onecomponent polyurethane powder adhesives (PPA). The effects of isocyanate index (R) on the properties of the polyurethane powder adhesives were inve
stigated by means of Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG), etc. The results show that with the increase ofRtotal value of prepolymer, the molecular weight and the crystallinity of PPA are increased, the Tpeel strength and the thermal stability of PPA are enhanced. The prepared polyurethane powder adhesives meet the demands for industrial lowtemperature sizing.
