Abstract: The nano/micron phenolic resin multilayer hollow spheres were obtained by using selfassembled vesicles consisting of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as templates, the watersoluble phenolic resin was the precursor, and the buffer environment was provided with the aqueous ammonia solution. The surfactant ratio, reaction temperature and time were controlled, and the stirring rate was changed. The samples were characterized by X-ray
diffractometry (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), nitrogen adsorptiondesorption analyzer, and thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). The results show that the particle size of the phenolic resin hollow nanosphere is 50—60 nm. The thickness of the shell is about 10 nm.The morphology of phenolic resin hollow microspheres are divided into singlechamber and multichamber. The particle size of the singlechamber hollow microsphere is 2—5 μm, and the particle size of the multichamber microhollow sphere can reach 10 μm. The thickness of the shell is about 500 nm. The spherical shells of two kinds of the phenolic resin hollow spheres have a multilayer periodic structure.
