Synthesis and Properties of Dimeric PorphyrinsBased on Hydroxyphenyl Porphyrin Skeleton

Abstract: Using 1,4-dichloro-2,5-dinitrotoluene as bridging agent, H-2MHTPP porphyrin dimer was prepared by one-step synthesis. The structure of porphyrin dimer was characterized by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. The electrochemical and photochemical properties of the porphyrin dimer and the surface photovoltage spectrum (SPS) of the porphyrin dimer were studied. The results show that the H2MHTPP porphyrin dimer is a p-type semiconductor.
