Improved PSNR evaluation method consistent with human visual perception

Abstract: When the visual perception effect of the reconstructed stereoscopic image is good, the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) value may be low. To solve this problem a method is proposed to improve the PSNR in order that it is consistent with the perception of human eyes. This method is based on weighted filter, membership function and sliding window. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good effect, which can promote the universality of the commonly used PSNR evaluation method in the quality evaluation of reconstructed stereoscopic image.
