Curve Style Recognition in Intelligent CAD for Vehicle Cover Panel

Abstract: Curve style recognition is one of the critical technologies in Intelligent CAD for automobile cover panel.Several methods have been developed to calculate the similarity between curves,which classify curves by the coordination of the points on the curves or the area covered by the curves.These methods have given little concentration on the relationship between the shape of the curves and the formability of the cover panel.A new method,which describes the curves with radius of curvature is presented and ANN is used to classify the curves in this paper.It is in the field of Intelligent CAD that the new method is more feasible than the former ones.
