Hydro-pneumatic driving system of new type hydraulic pile hammer

Abstract: On the basis of investigating the advantages and disadvantages of the existing pile hammers made in China and abroad, a new design scheme of hydro-pneumatic driving system for the pile hammer was put forward for the purpose of structure compactress manufacture simplicity, low cost and light driving efficiency. The system consist of a double-pole single-action hydraulic cylinder with nitrogen gas to accumulate energy and a transfering oil tank. A set of control valve was used to implement the control guideline "close before open". The developed prototype is characterized by high driving efficiency, compact structure, smooth and reliable operation, demonstrating the feasibility and outstanding character of the scheme. It may provide the technical foundation for developing the equivalent products in our country.
