Abstract:

A bicycle traffic flow model was proposed based on the cellular automation. On the basis of the motor vehicle NS model, adding a lane changing rule, a more reasonable model was established. The model takes the lane changing rule, a more reasonable model was established. The model takes the lane changing of bicycles into account, is in better agreement with the real behavior of bicyclists. Simulations were performed under different conditions, such as of maximum speed, of random slowdown probability, of bicycle lane width. The obtained bicycle traffic capacity and speeddensity graph were close to the theoretical values. The model was validated by the real observing and measuring data, and its validity and reliability were proved.
