Orthogonality of sinusoidal non-linear chirp keying signals

Abstract: In order to obtain orthogonal signal set of Sinusoidal Non-linear Chirp Keying (SNCK), the mathematical correlation integral expression is derived, and solution to give an analytical formula with the Bessel function is found. Analysis of the orthogonality of SNCK signals with different period number of frequency variation curve, different time-bandwidth product and different frequency modulation polarity shows that the SNCK method can implement orthogonal modulation by flexibly selecting modulation parameters. A scheme to search for orthogonal signal set of SNCK is provided, which lays a foundation for multi-carrier parallel communication using SNCK signals.
