Tree routing improvement algorithm in ZigBee network

Abstract:

The tree routing in ZigBee network was investigated indepth, and an improved routing algorithm (NTR) by using neighbor table was proposed. This algorithm first finds the common neighbor nodes between the source nodes and destination nodes first; then establishes a strategy for selection of neighbor nodes. The NTR algorithm enables the original tree routing more flexible, saves the address space and improves routing efficiency. Tests show that NTR can reduce the network costs and endtoend delays; thus the energy consumption can be saved and realtime effect of the network can be enhanced.
