Tapered shaft forging by cross wedge rolling

Abstract:

Based on the analysis of tapered shaft forging by deformation of cross wedge rolling, using the platform of threedimensional finite element software DEFORM3D, cross wedge rolling process of conical shaft with different parameters was simulated,and cross section deformation strain field, stress field in the rolling process were obtained. The influence law of rolledpiece cone, section shrinkage rate on stress and strain during deformation were analyzed. The results show that stress and strain increase with the increase of section shrinkage rate,and internal strain decreases and stress almost remaines the same with the increase of cone angle.
