Expeimental Research on Turbine Damper

Abstract: To meet development of hydraulic launch system and arresting recovery system of pilotless aircraft,turbine damper prototypes with different sizes and different liquid mediums have been tested to measure their damping moment modulus.Results show that damping moment modulus of damper with given size and liquid medium is almost constant and basically in direct proportion to square of rotor speed.Structure size and liquid medium density are decisive factors affecting damping moment modulus.The research project has laid the foundation of damper design.
