Positioning method in pavement surface distress detecting system

Abstract: Positioning is an important part in pavement surface distress detecting system.Using a Kalman filter to deal with the data from GPS receiver,a method to fuse data from the GPS receiver and distance sensor was presented.The algorithm can give more precise location information for the distressed pavement surface image.The algorithm has been validated by the road test.
