Strength loss and stress concentration in plate weakened by dense circular holes

Abstract: In view of the effect of multiple circular holes on the strength and stiffness of the element matrix instillation board in multi point forming press,plates with dense circular holes were analysed using ANSYS software,the stress and deformation distributions in boards with different numbers of holes are obtained.The stress concentration near hole is investigated in detail by submodel technique.The calculated results of stresses distribution presented in the paper are very useful to the design of multi point forming press.
