Research on optimization of the heating parameters of the ultra high strength steel's austenization in hot stamping process

Abstract:

Ultra high strength steel 22MnB5 used for automobile is selected for this study.Metallographic microscope,Laser confocal scanning microscope,Rockwell hardness tests are used for researching the heating parameters of austenization.The test results show that the best parameter of austenization is 950℃,5min for 22MnB5 plate with the thickness of 2 mm in hot stamping process.The optimum parameters are used for the automobile beam forming test.The microstructure of the formed part are uniform martensites,the tensile strength is greater than 1500 MPa and the hardness is greater than 450 HV.The results fully meet the actual production requirements.
