Comparison of link travel time estimation methods based on GPS equipped floating car

Abstract:

The algorithms of direct method and indirect method for estimating link travel time based on GPS equipped floating car are achieved using the programming language and verified with measured GPS data based on part road network in Changchun, and the characteristics and applicability of direct method and indirect method are compared using link travel time data acquired. The results show that the direct method and indirect method hold different characteristics and applicable scope respectively.
