Measurement and adaptation analysis of their facilities capacity for the subway passenger terminal

Abstract:

Based on characteristics analysis of passenger flow and service state of inner facilities in passenger terminal, measurement of facilities capacity for each type of facilities was determined. Reasons were analyzed in a quantitative view which two phenomena brought. Furthermore Indexes for individual and whole adaptation analysis were offered under the precondition to satisfy smooth passenger streamlines in terminal. While simulation system of subway passenger terminal was also established with the object simulated as passenger streamlines, individual and whole adaptation analysis were hereby performed respectively for individual facility and all facilities. Results show that parameter selection and simulating optimization for facilities allocation can be accomplished by means of system simulation integrated with measurement of facilities capacity and indexes of adaptation analysis. Some reasonable improvement approaches are represented to enhance adaptability of facilities capacity and its decision basis is thereby provided for the operation management and optimal allocation of facilities in terminal.
