地形可视化模型简化算法的研究进展

Research Evolvement of Model Simplification Algorithm about Terrain Visualization

摘要: 探讨地形模型简化领域的研究方法和进展及尚未解决的问题. 叙述了基于不规则三角网与规则格网两种数据源的自适应地形可视化建模方法, 同时根据对现代图形硬件是否友好, 将地形模型简化算法归纳为传统的细粒度多分辨率模型简化算法和面向现代图形硬件的粗粒度多分辨率模型简化算法, 总结分析了地形可视化建模领域的发展趋势和研究重点.

关键词: 可视化, 自适应, 多分辨率模型, 面向GPU的LOD算法

Abstract: This paper discusses the research methods, new research evolvement and some issues that still exist in terrain model simplification area. This article describes adaptive terrain visualization modeling method based on both irregular triangulation and grid data sources. According to whether model simplification algorithm is friendly for modern graphics hardware or not, these terrain model simplification algorithms are divided into traditional fine granularity and modern graphical hardware oriented coarse granularity multi-resolution model simplification algorithms. Finally, we summarized and analyzed the devel opment current and future research emphasis in the terrain visualization modeling area.
