Abstract:

For any k≥2, the subshift of finite type is determined by the k×k 0-1 matrix A_k=(a_ij), where a_ij=1 if and only if i=k or j=i+1. By establishing the topologically conjugate relation between such a subshift and an interval map restricted to some invariant set and using a known result, we prove that the subshift  is distributively chaotic.
