Preparation and Performance of ZnO Photoanodefor Quantum Dot Sensitized Solar Cells

Abstract: ZnO particles was prepared by hydrothermal method and ZnO photoanode was prepared by solgel method. Through X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), ultraviolet visible absorption spectrum (UV-Vis) and photocurrent densityvoltage curve, we analyzed the influence of ZnO photoanode with different thickness on quantum dot sensitized solar cells. The results show that increasing the adsorption area of quantum dots can make red shift of the absorption edge of the ZnO photoanode to the visible light region, and then improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells.
