Abstract: The paper analyzes the causes of articles sent back from Journal of Jilin University: Medicine Edition. The mean rate of sent- back articles is 35.2% in our journal. The chief causes are non-reasonable research design, outmoded content and mistaken use of statistical methods. All the authors and editors should pay attention to research design, title selected, use of statistical methods in medical articles and so on, in order to promote the quantities of medical articles.
