Abstract:

Abstract:Objective
To explore the influence of multi-chamber piezoelectric pump on  the blood cells and coagulation system when it applied as blood driving pump. Methods Anticoagulation dog blood was utilized as circulating medium in the simulative circulatory system. There were three groups depended on the circulation time (0,1 and  2 h) and a control group. Hemoglobin concentration, white blood cell, red blood cell and platelet counts, hematocrit, free hemoglobin concentration were detected. The index of hemolysis (IH) of multi-chamber piezoelectric pump  was calculated as an important index of hemolysis damage. Results  Compared with control group, each index was not significantly changed in cycle 0 h group(P>0.05). Compared with control group, the  red blood cell count, white blood cell count, platelet count, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit were decreased in cycle 1 h and 2 h groups(P<0.05).  Compared with control group, the  free hemoglobin concentration was increased, the fibrinogen concentration was decreased(P<0.05).  Compared with cycle 1 h group, each index was not significantly changed in cycle 2 h group(P>0.05).The  IH of pump was calculated as 0.004 5,and it was significantly lower than international standard(<0.1). Conclusion   Multi-chamber piezoelectric pump has good blood compatibility in vitro. It has advantages to apply as blood-driving pump.
