Analysis of rotational speed and torque of differential connection of asymmetric multi-speed hydraulic motor

Abstract: The structure of the asymmetric multi-speed hydraulic motor is analyzed. Then a differential connection method of this type of motor is proposed. The output rotational speed and output torque formulae of the hydraulic motor with different differential connections are obtained through differential connection of the 2 inner 3 outer motor. The general formulae of the output torque and rotational speed are derived about differential connection of this type of motor. At the same time, in order to avoid the failure point and the repeated phenomenon, the effect of the motor factor selection on the differential connection is analyzed. The results show that there more ways of differential connection of asymmetric multi-speed hydraulic motor than that of the ordinary hydraulic motor and it is limited by the motor factor. This study may establish the theoretical foundation for further research of differential connection of this new type of hydraulic motor.
