Design of transmitting antenna of the hybrid-source magneto telluric instrument

Abstract: A transmitting device based on the magnetic-signal was designed in order to get the manual-signals in hybrid-source mag-netotellurics detection. The physical structure and the equivalent circuit method model of the transmitting antenna were discussed. The equivalent circuit model was built, and the magnetic densities in different directions were obtained. Combined with the existing experimental conditions, the rationality and effectiveness of designed device were verified. The experiments proved that the transmitting device can provide effective manual-signal with frequency in the range of 1 kHz~80 kHz which makes up the shortage of the natural-signal, and expands the exploration depth of the instrument.
